My name is Clare Bassett,
I'm passionate about empowering women to find their voice and share what they love. With over a decade experience training
yoga and meditation teachers and a background in teaching and learning, I've got you.
My yoga teacher training course is designed to be empowering, super practical and individualised with you at the centre.
I work mainly with women who love yoga, who are committed to cultivating their yoga practice, and are passionate and curious.
I work women who want to deepen their own practice and share yoga without feeling overwhelmed so they can sustain themselves and be a force for positive change in the world.

How it works...
I support and guide you over 10 months, you will have one training weekend per month, plus a group whats app with access to me, and a one to one mentor meeting during the course, with a bonus follow up mentor meeting 6 months after you finish.
During your training days we will cover course material, including workshops on the yoga poses, yoga teaching practice, talks and discussions on the philosophy and history of yoga, embodied anatomy and our ethical business module.
We set sustainable, achievable goals for your yoga practice, keep you accountable to your results and give you lesson plans for your first classes.

Syllabus
Module 1 Yoga Asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra
40 Classical asanas, alignment and variations, establishing your self-practice (tailored yoga for you), pranayama, meditation and mindfulness practices, mantra and mudras, yoga nidra.
Module 2 Teaching skills
Being the teacher, ethics of teaching, instructions, lesson planning and sequencing, students' needs, observing and adjusting, teaching practice, self reflection and self care, creative course planning.
Module 3 Integrated anatomy and physiology
Structural alignment, bones and joints, the respiratory system, safe movement and modifications
Module 4 Philosophy and wisdom teachings
The history of yoga, Patanjali’s eight limbs, yamas and niyamas, prana and the subtle energy body, the chakras, the ethics of yoga, self reflective journaling.
Module 5 Being a Yoga professional - ethical business
Pricing your classes, booking a venue or teaching online, karma yoga and core values, getting your message clear, picking your platform and sharing your message to attract students, insurance and accreditation, record keeping and tax, continued professional education.
Guest tutors: Excellent guest tutors, experts in their fields will be there to support your learning.
All assessments and assignments are formative, that means you have assessments and assignments that are designed to help you learn and remember what you learn as well as grow in confidence with your new skills.

Essential - a love of yoga is required for this to work and a willingness to make time in your week, in your day to do the practice.
At least a year of yoga classes or consistent practice is desirable.
Investment
For this to work there is an investment.
- You’ll need to commit to a regular yoga practice (20 mins 5 times a week or longer sessions twice or three times a week)
- Attendance at training days is important
- To get the most out of it you will need to set aside time to read, journal and practice teaching.
