She believes the world needs yoga and yoga is for everyone. You don’t need to be skinny and super flexible, it’s about how it makes us feel and how we can live better lives and make the world a better place.
Clare is a very knowledgeable and nurturing yoga teacher who takes you through the pose bit by bit, over and over so that you know what your body can and can’t do . Clare takes care to explain how to adapt postures so that you do not injure or further aggravate existing problems. What trainees say about Clare
At one point I was full of fear that I wasn’t good enough and I was uptight and nervous and Clare calmly said ,”Ann so what if you get it wrong, you can do it again”, I just needed that reassurance that “if at first you don’t succeed you try, try and try again”, that’s the essence of yoga in a nutshell. Clare teaches that is not a competition, it’s at your pace, at your level, at your ability and that it’s a gift to have the space on the mat for yourself.
Thank you Clare for reminding me that “I am worth it and to keep coming back to the mat, even to sit and just be with me”. I hope that you will stay long enough to experience the calm you will find through attending Clare’s classes and how the body with gentle care releases tension and moves easier into position’s. Enjoy discovering you.

I count myself lucky to have had Clare Bassett as my trainer on a number of Yoga and Meditation trainings I’ve completed.
Clare is a generous and accomplished teacher, warm, supportive, grounded, inclusive and inspiring. She is passionate about Yoga and Meditation and her deep knowledge and experience shine through in her teaching. Clare teaches with crystal clarity and makes everything really accessible and understandable. Her training style places strong emphasis on making Yoga & Meditation accessible, safe and enjoyable for her trainees and their students.
I’ve trained with many great teachers from around the world and Clare is up there as one of my favourite and most respected. You’ll come awake from her courses with a smile on your face, joy in your heart, and feeling competent and confident in the skills she has taught you. More than that, you’ll come away knowing you’ve made a new friend and trusted mentor.
Thank you Clare

I loved my teacher training at Barefoot Yoga Studio and having Clare as one the primary tutors. Clare is extremely knowledgeable and a great tutor. A very special trait Clare has is that she can really empathise individually with each student and guide and direct them accordingly. Clare also empowers students and helps you to fully appreciate yourself as you are. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes with and would highly recommend Clare as a yoga teacher and tutor. ✨Ciara Greenwood Yoga teacher
